Birmingham Healthy Air Coalition colleagues have come together to formulate a set of Pledges for Birmingham City Council candidates to show their support and dedication to this important issue in our city.
“If elected to Birmingham City Council, I will work with colleagues and institutions to tackle toxic air pollution and its causes. I recognise that the continued rise in car usage in the city is unsustainable and has a significant impact on poor air quality and health and wellbeing. I recognise the impact of poor air quality on health and wellbeing and will prioritise action to reduce health inequalities in Birmingham. I will act with urgency and integrity on decisions that improve community health – especially for children – and champion my commitment to the Birmingham Healthy Air Coalition pledges.”
